I'd like to thank Elon Musk for looking out for us all.

What's most impressive IMO is just how cheap sending a payload to LEO using a Falcon Heavy is compared to the alternatives.

Falcon Heavy can launch 70 tons for roughly 100 million putting the price around $700 per pound. For comparison the next cheapest option, Falcon 9, runs around $1600/lb with costs going up from there. Something to be said for economies of scale, although there's a lot more incentive to make sure everything works right when you have that large, and expensive, a payload aboard.
