Hi, Any advise on where to bank as a Canadian citizen, but a non-resident? Tax residency is Kazakhstan, which, seems to cause most Canadian banks to refuse service on account of AML compliance. Any advise would be helpful.

You can try one of the many online ewallets like Transferwise. Next year they'll have a Mastercard. They have a new online banking account and khazakstan seems to be an accepted country. It's sort of a set of IBANs in various currencies. (

MoneyPolo is another one..
an offshore bank - the traditional kind offshore division like Lloyds or Charter Bank but they are pricey.
Or have you tried Sberbank Khazakstan? Pretty international bank they have offices across Europe too.
