Dumbfounded
« on: March 12, 2019, 11:11:59 AM »
Yes, that is the proper feeling for Doughishere, Cwericb and all the other Trump haters. No impeachment... What?

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/03/12/rep-kevin-mccarthy-says-pelosi-confirms-trump-take-on-mueller-probe.html

Cooler heads, who do not believe every word said on TV and left propaganda, saw that coming all along.

It was a witch hunt. There is no ground for impeachment, no collusion with Russia, nothing of value. Pelosi and others who salivated at the idea had to abandon their plan.

They will keep saying there was collusion to discredit Trump but, won't act.

You truly have to ask yourself: if they are the party of moral superiority then why not pursuing this? If they have evidence why not?

A total waste of time - out-of-touch politicians that still have never gotten over a devastating loss - rather than
admit the faults of their own party - they spend 2 years trying to remove a democratically elected President
and refuse the traditional "peaceful transition of power".

All aided by a dishonest and partisan media.

A truly disgraceful period in American history.

Or, maybe Pelosi is just one of the smarter Democrats and realizes that toolsheds like Schiff and AOC spending the next 2 years doing nothing but pestering the President for no purpose but to scratch a partisan itch, will likely cost the party big time in 2020....

Honestly, I just doubt they can prove it. Burden of proof is pretty high especially vs. our wannabe mafia boss of a president.

That doesn't mean he didn't actually do it  ::)

But, but.... you guys have been telling us about the huge amount of collusion evidence against the President
for 2 years now... it was so obvious Trump was in Russia's pocket.

Maybe Putin has the goods on Mueller too??

It never ends. At one point they had "all the evidence". He was dead to rights. Now? They just "know"...

This is why politics is where it is. There is no finality. These people created a big circus, and when it turns out there was nothing, they can't just say "we were wrong", they have to keep pushing and just continue making shit up. No different than WMD's in Afghanistan with Dubya...

At no time did I ever suggest that Trump should be impeached at this point. If clear proof of serious crimes come up, than that is another matter.

Your remarks tend to look like an attempt to mislead on the impeachment issue. At this point it would be rather foolish to attempt to impeach Trump when the senate is controlled by the Republicans.

You need 67% of the senate to impeach and with a few exceptions the Republicans support Trump on everything he does. Perhaps after the Muller Report or some other clear proof of crimes comes out, than there may be enough Republican support of impeachment.

But to declare Trump completely vindicated because he is not being impeached is a real stretch.

Remember how he said he could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and lose no supporters? Surly there none of those people are here.

I don't see what is there to be dumbfounded about. Nancy Pelosi (or as Trump calls her - Nancy) is a very competent and shrewd operator. 2 years of a Trump  presidency have done wonders for the Democratic party. Why should she take another 2 for free?

Many ways to interpret Pelosi. Many of them are not great for Trump and/or GOP. At least one possibility is she wants GOP to break from Trump for impeachment to happen. Otherwise it will be month after month of court documents and trials.

In a few weeks we get an update on some sovereign-owned company protecting a US citizen from liability.

Few weeks after that, another update.

Then Stone goes on trial.

Then whatever happens to Stone's associate may lead to further charges against Stone.

There's a sealed criminal complaint against Assange.

Then state investigations against Manafort, Trump, Trump's children, and Trump Org.

There's the individual named in Manafort's sentencing doc who received information from a Congressional aide on Manafort's behalf.

Whatever comes of Butina, Paul Erickson, and the NRA

It seems like Pelosi prefers waiting on impeachment because there's plenty to help D's for the immediate future. At some point, it may even be in the GOP's best interest to move to impeach Trump so Pence can be an incumbent before 2020. Crazier things have happened, allegedly.

Trump deserves to be impeached or removed from office as even his cabinet and justice department thought about invoking the 25th amendment.  Pelosi is not stupid, 40% of the populace would let him shoot someone on main street and still vote for him.  The last time Republicans impeached Clinton the Democrats won a huge landslide in congress.  It's all stratagizing.
