Hey all:

There are MANY on the "left" who claim that walls are immoral and not effective.

Fair enough.

HOWEVER, there are many, many miles of wall/fences ALREADY built up on the USA/Mexican border.  Off the top of my head, I think of San Diego/Tijuana and the El Paso area.

Why are they not talking about taking these walls down?  Why go halfway?

Well done. It's funny and I like the argument for its interesting rhetorical strategy. Also, your logic reminds me of Charlie Munger saying to always invert.

Plus there is the rule that if you wouldn't buy a stock again today at the current price, then you should not hold it in your portfolio. The U.S. essentially has a portfolio of existing fences, walls and checkpoints. If we aren't buying, should we be selling?

I hope that readers, regardless of their politics, will enjoy a good logic problem to toy with.
