https://www.marketwatch.com/story/fordham-confirms-that-trump-team-threatened-the-school-if-his-grades-became-public-2019-02-27?siteid=yhoof2&yptr=yahoo

But its ok, because he reduced taxes and is building a wall...this human, walking, talking f**k-up is President!  Cheers!

Disclosing his grades would be a violation of federal law in the US.

They had no intent on releasing his grades, and your critiquing that instead of the fact that the Commander in Chief felt so insecure about his GPA or SAT scores that he had his lawyer threaten his alma mater?  If anything, he should have been proud and said that he became President and achieved all of his success with lousy school marks!

So I made a comment on the issue that the President went nuts over his school marks...based on witness testimony and his school's comments...and you think it is still a Trump (political) thing?  I would have the same response if it is was anyone else, and you would too, but in this case you take a shot at me and defend him?!  Cheers!

How do you know "they had no intent"? It's also illegal for IRS agents and cabinet members to leak info but that clearly hasn't stopped them. So essentially he sent a notice warning them not to do something illegal. Whats the big deal? Nothing of course. But it's Trump. So why not find some arcane angle to vilify him.

Why vilify him for this?

1. The guy has claimed he's a stable genius and has off the charts IQ and called his secratary of state among others dumb.  When people act like arrogant jackasses people usually take pleasure in some comeuppance

2. Trump has a reputation for threatening letters that usually are more strongly worded then "a notice warning them not to do something illegal", typically threatening lawsuit or worse.  Too my knowledge Fordham college has no reputation of releasing peoples grades illegally.  Also I do concede, maybe some anti trump bias from the elites.   Thus all these things make me and others less willing to trust Trump then Fordham.

Trump plays tough and he is no saint. I think those of us that support Trump know full well that he has
operated in grey areas... we are not kidding ourselves at all. He lies plenty and uses unseemly tactics.

But Washington is a snake pit filled with sleaze bag hypocrites like Maxin Waters, Adam Schiff, the Clintons,
Comey, McCabe , etc, etc.... many of them criminals that operate illegally.

It's really a shame, it has come to this - where perhaps, an honest guy, like Romney doesn't stand a chance
because he won't use the political tactics that work.

If you're not totally disgusted by now with American politics and the divisions our leaders have caused
even among reasonable and smart people like me, Sanjeev and Gregmal - I don't think you understand
what's happening.

Standards have been so lowered now -that the guy that can "get things done" and fight (sometimes dirty)
to get things done - is the only one that will move the country forward.

Not intended as a political shot against any members here, but I would think you have to be disgusted
by the Left and the destruction they are reeking on the once reasonable Democratic Party. And on the right,
people like me are not exactly proud of some of Trump's tactics.

So much of this, like the Fordham incident is a sideshow - seriously - who cares?

I agree that this is a sideshow, but if this was any other president, Republican or Democrat, this would have made the front page at least for one day.  Maybe everyone is corrupt, but there are levels of corruption and Trump is on another level.

All those 'caught' documents locked away in safes, and collusion with hackers of various types.....
If servers get hacked, and those docs get dumped outside of the US; the owners of those servers have done nothing 'illegal'
And if those docs subsequently support the case that the 'idiot savant' is just an 'idiot' ...........  :)

We won, you lost, get over it.
I stole your money, you can't get it back, get over it. It's mine now, f*** off!
OR - the folks you stole it from drag you down, take your treasure, destroy your family, and throw a street party. Oops!
Remember that Madoff guy? how's his family doing these days?

The man likes to play at 'mob boss', but how does succession work in 'mob land'?
Six months is starting to look pretty good.

The 'Office of the President' is not the same as the 'President', and if you want to get re-elected ....
How do you extract the most political capital out of the orange? and what do you do when there's no more juice?

Do republicans really not have anybody else who can also rouse the base?
They don't even have to be good, just able to!

We live in interesting times.

LOL! It is obvious that you have not paid attention.
