As the header states Gallop released a recent poll conducted in Latin America and the Caribbean designed to estimate the number of potential caravans headed this way.

I would be absolutely SHOCKED if the number were this low.

I agree the number seems low.  But I am alarmed by the 5 million who plan on seeking asylum/immigrate within the next year.  Three of four years like that and you are talking real numbers.

I can tell you many of my cousins in Latin America would like to live and work here - but they will not do it illegally.

They come up quite often and are amazed by the country.

America at it's finest is amazing. And when you have something valuable, you protect it. Democrats, for all the racist whining and Salem witch trials going on against Russians and Saudi's, are literally committing treason by taking their pay for play type position on immigration. Its a very obvious "we let you in, you and your kind vote for us" quid pro quo arrangement.

I completely support legal immigration, whoever, wherever.  But people pouring across the border isn't good for the long term economic health of our country or even the health of our democracy.

Oh, I couldn't agree more. Illegal immigration has got to stop. These folks need to get in line and wait their turn, just like my cousins.

What is so mis-represented is that Trump supporters are racists AGAINST immigration.  This may be true for some...but for MOST they are PRO-immigration...but want it to be done in a legal fashion.

This whole thing is just so crazy...you can't have two sets of laws for different people.  Allowing tons of illegals and open borders also devalues all current citizens AND is a big "F U" to those in Europe, Asia and other places waiting sometimes YEARS to get into the USA because they do it the legal way.

Different rules for different people is going to be the end of the Republic...

Hah - that's rich, considering our President for weeks was opining on whether the rules applied to him.

Ha, that's rich!  What aboutism!

We can devolve into that all day!

Some people might suggest that a certain candidate for president has/had different rules for her.

Leave the politicians aside for a different thread.

What is NOT in dispute is that there are 2 sets of rules.  One for people who cross the border illegally, and another for people who follow the law.  It can be argued that people following the law are a bunch of suckers...
