https://www.heritage.org/immigration/commentary/birthright-citizenship-fundamental-misunderstanding-the-14th-amendment

This article does not make sense at most places.

"...They do not meet the 14th Amendment’s jurisdictional allegiance obligations..."
However, there is no mention of  "jurisdictional allegiance" in the amendment. There is only the question of being "subject to the jurisdiction thereof" and not "political jurisdiction" as the article claims. If as an illegal alien I am in US, am I subjected to the laws of my home country or that of US? Only a buffoon would think that I'd be subjected to the laws of my home country. However, the author thinks this is the case and that seems to be the basis of his argument.

"It is just plain wrong to claim that the children born of parents temporarily in the country as students or tourists are automatically U.S. citizens..."
But the justification is half baked and on very thin ice.

A good analysis of the points can be seen in the following article. I have just skimmed over it and it looks interesting.

Good. We shouldn't be rewarding criminals.

Unless of course these people are ok with being separated from the kid, who would be a legal citizen, while the trespasser(criminal) gets sent packing. Gotta make up their minds...

Not all immigrants are ciminals. There are some and these should be deported as they have been under both Obama and Trump.

Interestingly, the rate of crime is actually lower for illegal immigrants and far lower for legal immigrants.
