Meanwhile, like some here with the endless anti Trump drivel, here's the headline from the c***suckers at CNN. How petty.

Yep, the c***suckers are the ones who report what's happening. Not the commander in chief who cannot muster the humility of to visit troops just to be with them and provide support without promotion or reciprocity. He really couldn't leave the hats alone, not even this one time?

There is a difference between sympathizing with, and going out of your way for, people who are in an unfortunate situation but work hard and try to overcome it, and making excuses/having sympathy for people who put themselves in bad situations.
These are the work to get out of a bad situation. Their original sin was that they were born in a place like Honduras. After you've won the ovarian lottery you sit around talking tough. It would be very interesting to see you dropped off on the streets of Honduras for you to show how you work had and overcome that.

He would be dead within a week.  Some people are exceedingly selfish in their privelege.  There are two or three posters on these politics threads who are severely disconnected from reality.  Thats why I never waste energy arguing with them.

And I could drop off a bunch of you guys on the streets of North Baton Rouge (Scotlandville) and parts of New Orleans and you wouldn't survive the night.  So what?

I follow the law and expect others to as well. I know, horrible person...who if placed in an entirely new, different location or country that I've never been in before, would find it challenging.... Got me.

Of course you would all survive the night - just without your wallet and cell phone!

Anyways, Trump lied to the troops during his visit.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/fact-check-trump-brags-troops-about-10-percent-pay-raise-n952336

The last year without a pay raise was 1983.

"They said, 'You know, we could make it smaller. We could make it three percent. We could make it two percent. We could make it four percent.' I said, 'No. Make it 10 percent. Make it more than 10 percent,'" Trump told the troops. "It's been more than 10 years. That's a long time. And, you know, you really put yourselves out there, and you put your lives out there. So congratulations."

Troops will receive a 2.6 percent not 10 percent pay hike for 2019; they got a 2.4 percent pay hike in 2018.

What's more, American troops have received a pay hike every year for decades. 2019's raise is the largest in nine years.
