CUBI - Customers Bancorp
« on: December 17, 2019, 09:09:36 AM »
It is very hard to find undervalued banks at the moment. CUBI is one of the few under valued bank that I could find and really like. (The other one is CFG)
Highlight:
Current stock price: 24. Book value: 1 bn. Almost all tangible book. Market cap: 750M.
2019 EPS guidance: 2.2. 2020 EPS guidance: 3.

Third Avenue Small Cap Value Fund 2018 Q4 Letter discussed it in depth. As of 2019 Q3, it is their 2nd largest holding.

I thought you had given up individual stock picking?  Did the lure of value suck you back in?

When did I say I have given up individual stock picking? Last year I only posted "I've given up value investing". There is a huge difference.
I posted CUBI here because I like it from a momo trader's perspective, but it happens to be a value stock as well, so I'd like to share the idea here.
