The instantaneous launch window opens at 4:33 p.m. EDT, or 20:33 UTC, with backup instantaneous launch opportunities available on Saturday.....

About time we stopped paying the Russians $4 billion!

Wishing the astronauts a safe journey.

Go USA!

Very exciting.

Safe travels!

Launch scrubbed for weather

Standing down from launch today due to unfavorable weather in the flight path. Our next launch opportunity is Saturday, May 30 at 3:22 p.m. EDT, or 19:22 UTC

🚀

I was watching the launch live and my palms were sweaty.

Such a great day for the USA and Elon Musk/SpaceX.

My heart was beating rapidly the whole. Glad the astronauts are safe. I'm not a space nerd but what amazing thing to witness

They should declare bankruptcy tomorrow, their stocks should go up 10x within a day if they do.

Car sales in China rose last month for the first time in almost a year and Teslas were the top selling new-energy vehicles with more than 11,000 units sold.

You can't make this stuff up, it's like clockwork:

https://www.tesmanian.com/blogs/tesmanian-blog/rumor-tesla-semi-trucks-now-ready-for-volume-production

edit: yesterday, 40k weekly 1.000$ calls traded and today there is this semi leak and an upgrade from Wedbush with a 1.000 price target, must have been coincidence  ::)

Yup!

There is a reason Buffet et al never short stocks.

Humanity has gone from living in caves to launching reusable rockets. There will be bumps in the road, but our ability to adapt and innovate has been spectacular.

Stocks in aggregate = humans hopes and ability to innovate.

What a shocker: https://electrek.co/2020/06/11/tesla-cancelling-solar-roof-orders-after-years-deposits/

Quote
Tesla ended up running into many issues testing the longevity of the roof, and they made several changes leading to the launch of Solar Roof V3 late in 2019.

At that time, they started ramping up production and went on a massive hiring spree for roofers to be able to install the solar roof tiles in more markets around the US.

Following those moves, we have seen an increase in solar roof installations, but Tesla is also now canceling many solar roof orders.

We received reports from several people who ordered a solar roof, and they are now being told that Tesla doesn’t cover their region.

But I'm sure the semi-trucks Elon emailed his employees about a couple of days ago will be in production in x years..

The Model Y's rollout to the country following the first U.S. deliveries of the vehicle happened much faster than the time it took the Model 3 to first make its way to Canada, highlighting the electric-car maker's accelerated pace of execution.

Alternative reading: there is not that much demand for the Model Y in the US  ;)
