I've started listening to Naval's superb podcast, and the first thing I'm listening to, he's talking about status games. How people play these pointless zero-sum status games instead of striving for wealth.  So, it's obvious all my posts here are completely about trying to achieve this illusionary status gain because it's not like it's part of some monetization process, such as the kind that some people posting here are involved with. In addition, it's clear as the sun is bright that I'm always right and everyone else is always wrong so it's even more pointless ;) I'll try to stop. Cheers!

I find the posts to be interesting for thinking about human behavior, which is entirely relevant to thinking about stocks.  You have the Republican voters with their confirmation biases (among others), and vice versa.   It's like shorts vs longs.  Same underlying reality, and the market/information manipulators driving their thinking.

It is truly a study in human conditioning that I have always found fascinating. You have 320 million individual human minds in the US and with very small number of exceptions they all group themselves into one of 2 groups with a pre-packaged basket of "beliefs" and opinions.  What is further astonishing is that these two baskets are put together seemingly randomly not based on any logically consistent deduction from first principles.
