This from a solid pro-Trump WSJ:

https://www.wsj.com/articles/the-confessions-of-john-bolton-11592522040?mod=hp_opin_pos_3

As for Mr. Trump, the book’s excerpts carry no real surprises. The details are depressing against the standards one expects from a President. But voters know Mr. Trump has little tact, is untutored in foreign affairs, operates on personal instincts more than any guiding principles, and looks at nearly everything almost entirely through the prism of what is good for him.

From Economist:

https://www.economist.com/united-states/2020/06/18/details-from-john-boltons-book-are-damning-for-donald-trump?utm_campaign=the-economist-today&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_source=salesforce-marketing-cloud&utm_term=2020-06-18&utm_content=article-link-5

Three main embarrassments for Mr Trump stand out.

The first is on the probity of his policy. The heart of the allegation that led the House of Representatives to impeach the president was that he sought to put pressure on Ukraine not in America’s national interest but in order to boost his own re-election chances, by trying to extract dirt on his Democratic opponent, Joe Biden. Mr Bolton portrays this as part of a pattern.

At the same meeting in Tokyo Mr Xi defended his mass detention of Uighurs in Xinjiang. Mr Bolton recounts that Mr Trump told Mr Xi that he thought it was “exactly the right thing to do” and he should go ahead with building the camps.

The second embarrassment for Mr Trump comes from anecdotes about his ignorance.

He asks if Finland is part of Russia. At one point, in a meeting in May 2018 with Britain’s then prime minister, Theresa May, he seemed unaware that Britain was a nuclear power.

Unlike Mr Mattis, Mr Bolton, once a Fox News pundit, has been a darling of the right. And, as he writes, “I am hard pressed to identify any significant Trump decision during my tenure that wasn’t driven by re-election calculations.”

Did Trump/Bolton have a disagreement/part ways on bad terms? Whats the history here?

A quick wiki search page shows tons of pictures of Trump/Bolton working together. What gives?

Anyone who speaks out about Trump is a traitor, a liar, a lefty, deranged, sour grapes, bad reporter, an overrated general,  fake news network, etc...

Or it's Trump that is the problem.  You be the judge.

So we are hearing from yet another senior Republican from Trump’s inner circle. Bolton was was known as a meticulous note taker (which should help with accuracy of what was written). Another smart, senior, Republican, former Trump senior aid is saying Trump is unfit for office.

I am wondering if we are at an inflection point. More and more Republicans seem to be deciding Trump is evil and has to go. In 5 months we will see...

Trump's niece, Dr. Mary Trump, is a PhD psychologist and she has a tell-all book coming out in July.

One of the comedians had an excellent point:

Make America Great Again is a poorly chosen slogan for an incumbent.

According to excerpts, Trump asked his former chief of staff John Kelly whether Finland was part of its vast eastern neighbour, ahead of his 2018 visit to Helsinki for talks with President Vladimir Putin.

Finland, home to 5.5 million people, became independent from neighbouring Russia in 1917, and fought off two attempted Russian invasions during the second world war.

“Trump asked if Finland belongs to Russia. Of course this irritates us Finns,” Hussein al-Taee, a Social Democrat MP, tweeted on Thursday.

“I wouldn’t mind so much, but Trump and [Finnish president Sauli] Niinisto met for the first time about eight months before Bolton started working at the White House,” noted Finnish journalist and podcast host Tuomo Hyttinen.

I do think we are at an inflection point. I think the "silent majority" is furious with the lawlessness being permitted by the Democratic big city mayors.

Personally, I think this election will now turn out to be a debate on "law and order" vs "anarchy".

Like you say, we will see.
