Majority of Americans want Trump removed immediately after U.S. Capitol violence - Reuters/Ipsos poll | Reuters

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-election-trump-poll/majority-of-americans-want-trump-removed-immediately-after-u-s-capitol-violence-reuters-ipsos-poll-idUSKBN29D2VG

Here's a summary of the stats:

57% want Trump removed immediately
70% say they disapprove of his actions in the run-up to Wednesday's assault
30% said Trump should be removed using the 25th Amendment
14% said Congress should impeach
13% said Trump should resign

On the other hand, polling indicates there is still a good bit of support for Trump among Republicans. There is also the QAnon portion of Trump supporters. This Reuters/Ipsos data, if representative, shows a couple of things. The numbers are bad and the trend may be worse, because as more information comes out about what happened on Wednesday it's not going to be pretty, and there will be lots of photos and videos eventually. These numbers may get worse.

In the heat of battle, Republicans made a tactical error in not seeing how quickly the sands might be shifting and too few changed their votes and behavior. Also now they are in a real bind stuck between those who believe the disinformation and a rapidly growing majority of the country (including Republicans) who want nothing to do with Trump. It will be a difficult needle for the party to thread.

The man is seriously mentally ill. If not impeached, the US tax payer will be on the hook for his pension and health care for the rest of his life - not to mention having a security detail guarding him . Then there is the slap in the face of having pay for Trump's security detail who will likely have to be put up at Trumps hotels.

Question for your poll:

Are those the same people that approved of BLM/Antifa burning down America for months on end?

Are they the same ones that bailed out those criminals in the name of "social justice"?

Are they the same people that believe the election was rigged by mail-in ballots and election fraud?

Better question, why are we giving any credence to the same people pointing to the same polls from the same places all over again?

To put these numbers in context, 57% of Americans thought that Nixon should be removed from office on the day he resigned. So Trump is apparently equally unpopular as Nixon on the day Nixon resigned. Unfortunately, I expect Trump will become even more unpopular as more information comes out and he will not resign. Plus there is almost certainly more violence and potentially death to come.

So you didn't have enough violence and death last year, while your loser party stood by, encouraged and condoned it? And then bailed out the criminals?

25+ Deaths, untold businesses and livelihoods destroyed - that wasn't enough for you?

Now your phony outrage?

You really want to put that up against the federal govtís mismanagement of COVID in terms of deaths and livelihoods lost? Letís do that accounting.

Lets not forget both Murphy and Baker also bagged themselves some respectable covid numbers too. Gavin too! Cuomo shouldn't get all the credit.

Can someone explain to me why this is okay but Trump is terrible (I think both sides are terrible, personally)?
