OK, now I'm confused. Why can you speculate one Rittenhouse's motives but not on the other guy's? Also the whole property protection thing. I thought it had to be your property. As far as I know you can't just show up at my house with an AR-15 to protect my property.

At least one of the antifas had a hand gun so will you apply the same rationale to that guy.
Oh I absolutely will. Bringing a handgun to a protest of police brutality is total bullshit.

Democrats came ready to smash windows, loot businesses, and cause chaos if they lost.

Republicans came ready to request recounts and take it to the courts to audit the process and be 100% sure of the results.

Only one of those processes it the correct/reasonable one.

Bah, ha, ha, ha!  That's the funniest thing you've ever said Can't Stand Ya!

Who are the nimrods running around with the AR-15's?   Rittenhouse shooting the looters was so much more conscionable than the looting itself!

How's the weather in Bizarro World?  Cheers!

Bizarro world? Aren't you guys the ones that believe there are more than 2 genders and that you can switch based on "feelings"?

By the way, wasn't Rittenhouse being attacked? I mean, I don't believe he was just randomly shooting people. Do you? Based on the hate from the left, I could very easily see them attacking him.

Paul, that comment sounded about as stupid as people two generations ago saying how black people were intellectually inferior.

By the way, if you were walking around in your mall, and someone was running by with an AR-15 who looked about 17 years old, would you think "good kid" or "Columbine?"

I guess you would only chase him down and tackle him if he were Muslim.  Cheers!

Was he walking around the mall? I thought he was protesting?

Was he not being attacked? Why did he end up not killing many more people if he's trying to terrorize people instead of defending himself?

But if he were walking around the mall I would think "Columbine" and that's regardless of his religion.

With that said, how would I know if someone carrying a gun in the mall is Muslim or not? Can you tell that by looking at someone? I mean, it's pretty easy to tell if a woman is Muslim if she has a burka or hijab but men are a lot harder to tell (unless they're wearing kufi or thobe or something). My understanding here stops at men and women because I don't know what the other 98 genders wear in Islam.

Given that many Muslim men (and Rittenhouse was male) tend to wear conventional clothes in public, how would I know what the person's religion is?

So armed weapons are not ok at the mall, but they are ok around protestors?  I don't care if its the Black Panthers or the Proud Boys, guns should not be present at a protest, and managing the looting/protests should be the police's responsibility...not armed private citizens.

If someone punches me, that doesn't give me the right to shoot them.  He's a f**king moron to be walking around with an AR-15 during protests to begin with, and his parents are equally as retarded!

I could ask you the same question about gender fluency...how do you know it's real or not.  Maybe your pastor or priest suffers from it, but keeps it hidden?  Maybe one of your family members suffers from it?  But throwing it around like it's a Liberal manifesto is just stupid and ignorant!  Cheers!

Well a mall is usually private property and often times firearms are not allowed. Was it illegal for him to carry a gun near protestors? I don't even own a gun but if I had to go to an area that is known for looting and burning down buildings (and in some of these cases people have been killed) I would prefer to have protection too.

If several people are punching/kicking you and trying to take gun (and it sounds like at least 1 was armed already), why shouldn't you have a right to shoot them? Do you honestly think he wasn't fearing for his life? I certainly would fear for mine (though unless I was forced I wouldn't be there in the first place).

Well, I only know one person who suffers from it gender identity issues (though I've never been super close to him). Have you ever dated a "woman" with a penis? Do you not view that person as "real" women or are you just transphobic?

So, do you think it's okay for a biological male to face a biological female in an athletic competition? Why Do you think it's okay for teacher of young children to be Ms. Sally one day and Mr. Bob the next?

Are you okay with trans-age or trans-race? What if someone is 60 but they "feel" like they're 15. Do you think that's okay? Look at Rachel Dolezal. Her birth certificate says Caucasian. Why shouldn't she be allowed to live as a Black woman if that's truly how she "feels" on the inside? Surely, Sanj, you're not a trans-race or trans-ageobphobe, right? Be more open minded!

The guy who got shot in the arm approached Rittenhouse with his hands up as in “don’t shoot” but he had a handgun in his belt he tried reaching for. There are pics of this.

To quote a notable Navy Seal on the situation. Those crackheads were lucky they only messed with a poorly trained 17 yr old and not someone who is true my capable of some violence. Situation could have been far worse.

Bullshit!  Watch the video yourself.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iryQSpxSlrg

He's running around with an AR-15...mob chases him because someone says he shot someone.   A couple of guys try to chase him down, one takes a swing but misses.  As Rittenhouse stumbles and falls down, someone yells out "get his gun" to disarm him...Rittenhouse turns and shoots a guy who was trying to kick the gun out of his hands, a second guy almost disarms him, but Rittenhouse shoots the gun...he finally shoots another who is attempting to disarm him, while a fourth guy puts his hands in the air and backs off...everyone disperses as they realize Rittenhouse has shot at least two people and fired on a third either deliberately or accidentally...he then approaches 6 police units with his hands in the air and the AR-15 around his neck.

Rittenhouse directly and accidentally fired four shots...two of which hit people.  A man is yelling to the police that Rittenhouse just shot two people back there, yet not one of the police units stop him or talk to him...white kid walking around with an AR-15, must be a good, law-abiding, citizen who loves his country...let's go after the protestors!  Cheers!

Here is the guy who approached him with his hands up. Who then drew his handgun and ended up getting shot in the arm. Multiple photos showing this from many different angles.

We will be seeing a lot more of these injuries in the future. Biden wants them shot in the leg (arm) from now on.

Well that is speculation on my part but I have seen the videos and there was a riot going on. They were trying to start a building on fire. Rittenhouse was actually responding to the fire.  These guys were part of the riot.  I guess I'm using my common sense on that one.

As far as right to carry I will go with the police on that one. They were watching it all happen and people on both sides were carrying.

At the end of the day to me, it just comes down to equality. Let's put our left right lenses down. Do people have a right to self defense?  If you are attacked by a mob of people can you defend yourself?   I think you can.

Yes, he was underage and that is a class A misdemeanor.

If several people are punching/kicking you and trying to take gun (and it sounds like at least 1 was armed already), why shouldn't you have a right to shoot them? It's actually illegal.  Just like driving your car into somebody who is threatening you.

Well, I only know one person who suffers from it gender identity issues (though I've never been super close to him). Have you ever dated a "woman" with a penis? Do you not view that person as "real" women or are you just transphobic?

Not that I'm aware of.  I would view that man who identifies as a woman.  I'm not homophobic, transphobic...only Trump and stupidity phobic.

So, do you think it's okay for a biological male to face a biological female in an athletic competition? Why Do you think it's okay for teacher of young children to be Ms. Sally one day and Mr. Bob the next?

No.  I don't think that is fair.  But if they were born a female, but have a genetic advantage like Castor Simenia because they produce more testosterone, then I'm fine with it.

I'm perfectly fine if someone identifies with a different gender, race, whatever...as long as they are honest about it.  Rachel was saying she was black on job applications and also defrauded public assistance.  That's a whole different issue than identifying with a different gender or race.

The insanity is a slippery slope and society is not for the better of it.

No, you're just too close-minded to accept that people are all different.  And for some, accommodating their differences is just too much damn work...thus America the melting pot!  Cheers!

Fair enough on Rittenhouse. But, if he were 18, would that change your mind?

You didn't answer this but do you think it's okay for a 1st grade teacher to be Ms. Sally one day and Mr. Bob the next?

Since you're not transphobic and open minded, surely you would date a "woman" with a penis then, right?

By the way, if you say that a person is a man who identifies as a women, that seems like you're saying that person is not a "real" women...I'm pretty sure that's transphobic.

What's wrong with Rachel saying she's Black on job applications?  Keep in mind, we're basing this all on feelings - not what's on a birth certificate or how they look (or any other objective measure).  She's just living her "truth." If Bruce Jenner can live his "truth" why can't Rachel live hers?

Her receiving illegal public assistance has nothing to do with the argument.

Her receiving illegal public assistance has nothing to do with the argument.

Your arguments are now running into one another.  They seem to be arguing for the sake of arguing rather than clarifying any position or beliefs.  Like the question on dating a woman with a penis...if I'm not into penis' (other than my own), why would I date a woman with a penis.  It's like saying if I don't like apples, would I eat a green apple because I like green grapes.  This is what is becoming of your questions and argument.

On Rittenhouse...no, it's the same as driving your vehicle into a group of threatening people.  No one shot at him, and barely anyone actually touched him...he stumbled on his own and then shot people who were trying to disarm him or that he was afraid of.  If my son did something as stupid as Rittenhouse, my love would not overcome the thought that this kid maybe needs his ass kicked.  And if he shot people, I would be the first to turn him in...not bail his dumb ass!

On Rachael...she was being purposely deceptive...it had nothing to do with her identifying as black.  I have no problem with her identifying as black...I'm sure Justin Bieber and Vanilla Ice do to...but being deceptive about it is another issue.  Bruce Jenner is not hiding his transition from anyone or being deceptive about it.

Cheers!

I think he meets the requirement for self defense.  An unprovoked attack, threat of imminent in injury and use of reasonable counter force. Given there's a whole crowd chasing him down, that they had firearms, someone had already fire, then yeah conditions are met.
