That is completely false. He was quoting Trump's FBI director in saying it exists as an ideology. It's Trump's FBI director who said that and Biden was relaying that same point. Existing as an idea is still an existence. It's apples and oranges and a dangerously false equivalence to compare that with a guy blatantly dog whistling to what should be a domestic terror organization. Well for all of you who did not watch the debate. I hate to break the news... Sleepy Joe MIGHT have had a career night. One key with debates is performance versus expectations. Biden came in with very low expectations (thanks to Trump). He looked like the outright winner of the debate to me. So in terms of performance versus expectations Biden did very well. 

What is worse for Trump is he said lots of highly inappropriate things that are going to now going to hit the Twittersphere (gotta love soundbites). So we will see, but the ‘spin’ could further damage him. (My personal favourite was at the end when i think he murmered for white supremacists to be ‘ready’ - something like that - when asked about a peaceful transfer of power once the election results are known... but i MUST have mis heard because that would be bat shit crazy.)

So coming in to the debate Trump was doing very poorly. We will see what the polls say in another week or so but my guess is at a minimum Biden will maintain his strong lead and will perhaps see a small bump. (Most people have already made up their mind.) Trump needed a strong showing and instead he got roughed up.

Sleepy Joe... didn’t know you had it in you!

I thought Trump won this hands down.  I watched the whole thing.  Yeah, he acted as his usual bully, jackass self, but he was also far more concise and direct than Biden.  Biden looked far, far older than Trump...slow, pondering, etc. 

It wasn't until Biden was talking about his son Beau that he started to stand  up and fight back.  He took it on the chin earlier when Trump went after Hunter...Biden looked like an old man begging a mugger to stop beating him!

The second half was a bit better for Biden when it got into climate change, election voting, etc, but I thought Trump won this pretty handily...sadly!  Chris Wallace should have run for the Democrats instead, because he was actually able to combat Trump's interruptions and behavior. 

But I'm worried now that Trump will get a second term.  Maybe if Biden stood up and said some of the things he needs to, like:

- Yeah, Antifa are assholes like Proud Boys!
- Trump, your a dick!
- Yeah, my son Hunter is a problem child, but your kids are spoiled brats who will bullshit their way through life and live off the family trust!
- I'm going to punch this guy in his orange face if he keeps interrupting!
- Trump, you lie like a hooker at Mardi Gras...and you know you've been with that hooker!

Maybe, if he fought back, he might have a chance, but he did not win tonight!  Cheers!

If you want another perspective on who won the debate look at what stock futures did after the debate ended... the dropped 0.5%. We will see where they open in the morning.

Sorry to say it but I think Trump might be cooked. The issue is he is so far down in the polls it looks like Republicans might lose the senate. This could turn into a landslide for the Democrats. One has to wonder at what point Republicans don’t start to flee the sinking ship. They might be able to save their skin. If this happens then Trump is screwed. The emperor (who everyone hates) is starting to look weak... will we see knives?

Proud Boys comment is the one i am going to be watching in the coming days. My guess is it will not resonate with moderates, educated, females. Just a ‘flesh wound’ says Trump (gotta love Monty Python). Trump is opening up too many new fronts to win this war. Endorsing Proud Boys is not going to do it (someone should tell Trump he already has those votes).

Not too long ago we had several of the lefties claiming that the stock market had been rising in anticipation of a Biden presidency, before going back to talking about seeing dead people and brownshirts...now, the futures are down -200 points...must mean Biden won the debate! Chris asked if Trump would condemn white supremacy etc. he replies “sure”. He then asked Chris to clarify who specifically he needs to renounce. The. Trump said “Proud boys stand back and stand by.” To me the “stand by” came across more like “move to the side” but I could be wrong. Didn’t Trump just label KKK domestic terrorists last week? Not to mention Proud Boys if you look them up are not white supremacists and are instead more neoconservatives wanting to protect “extreme western values”. We have discussed this before on this sub that you can’t control who backs you. Deal can’t control the radical socialists who back then like Trump couldn’t control David Duke supporting him. All these groups have to pick a candidate to endorse for publicity sake. It’s easy media points.

Back to the ANTIFA part.

The question from Chris is directed at Trump initially but is framed first with ”You have repeated criticized the VP for not specifically calling out antifa”

Joe Biden later goes on to say “antifa is an ideology. That’s from your own FBI director.”

Trump responds “Well he is wrong.”

Biden responds “Everyone tells you the truth”

Biden is agreeing with this FBI claim that he brought up and Biden also did not condemn the violence. It’s a scape goat answer. This view is shared all throughout the Democratic Party. Just go ask Jerry “it’s a myth” Nadler.

Trump brought up the point that the majority of the violence and property destruction is from the left. Sorry but anyone who says “white nationalist” groups are responsible for all the riots, violence, and property damage  has their head up their ass. It’s almost all related to BLM. These opposition groups have popped up because mayors left their citizens high and dry. Governors left their citizens high and dry. These equally bad in ideology groups would not be growing in force if politicians would have done their job to uphold law and order in the first place. People eventually take things into their own hands. Unfortunately that often means strong opposing views clashing in extreme situations.

BLM started the riots < mayors ignore the problem < citizens lose millions in property damage < nationalist groups show up to fill the gap

But yet according to the left, it’s all the fault of white supremacy and these opposition groups need to stand down and quit creating violence? What bizarro world is this?

However both Trump and Biden said they wanted peace. I would say this exchange is more about political vote pandering. Biden wants as many votes as he can get just like Trump. Although neither probably endorse either extreme group. They both know a vote is a vote.
