I'm all for a determined, educated, and sometimes aggressive populace. I think the idea that the government is here to serve us, is a good one. And they should be periodically remind them of that.

Aside, I think that corporations are here to serve us in a similar fashion. Remember, government (we) grants corporate charters.

So now you've got these militias trying to overthrow the government in MI.
And elsewhere you've got antifa or whatever-they're-called-today trying to destroy police/state/federal buildings in various cities.

But they each think the other is wrong? They're both doing the same thing - violently trying to change the government.

Perhaps they would be more effective if they realized and worked towards a common goal 

I think the problem on both sides is they look at these groups and go "fuck them, they are the enemy"...which isn't exactly wrong, but it totally misses the point, which is basically that "hey, they're here because they're fed up with you. Change your fucking behavior"....

Government has killed more people, destroyed more resources, and caused more human suffering than any other idea that human beings have ever come up with.

That's such a general statement it's almost meaningless.

Are we attributing the deaths during WW2 to "government"? What about government tax breaks to O&G? Is gov't responsible for the environmental damage from that industry?

But what about all the benefits from O&G - can gov't claim those?

On the other side of the coin, government funding sustained the research facility responsible for the TB vaccine, which has killed 1+ billion people. Do they get credit for that?

What about gov't lockdowns during COVID? Did they save lives? Or cause even more death?

If gov't is so bad - why has almost every human civilization had one?

And to label it the worst idea human beings have ever come up with? I could think of a handful of things which would cause me to permanently leave the USA, but having a government isn't one of them.

Yes Viking, that is true, but choosing socialism over a conservative you dont like is a little bit of a stretch. And as Ive said before, I try not to lump you into the same category as some of the other fruitcakes....but the position can be perplexing when observing it the way you do. How does any "conservative" support a solution that includes the likes of Elizabeth Warren, Koomala Harris, etc? You dont like Trump; fine. Perfectly reasonable. Dislike him so much you choose to support the antithesis of what you claim to be?(conservative)..tough sell.
